at Magnuson Park in Seattle!
Share the Vision Walkathon is an active event to raise awareness about low vision and to fundraise for SightConnection programs and services that benefit low vision community members. Participants can walk—or run—up to three miles (5K) taking easy and accessible routes around Magnuson’s beautiful park scenery and waterfront views. Walkathon-ers can walk with their dogs and invite friends and family to cheer them on! Those who get involved in Share the Vision want to see everyone living well with low vision! They are champions for the low vision community by asking everyone they know to financially contribute to SightConnection during their walkathon efforts. Donations can be made online and tracked on each team or individual’s fundraising page! Thank you for supporting SightConnection’s programs and services—we count on you to share the vision!
SightConnection promotes the well-being of those in our community adjusting to vision loss by connecting them with our full services: low vision clinics, counseling, independent living training, safe movement and travel sessions, assistive technology, community education, and a retail store. We create individualized plans of care across by combining these services according to each individual’s needs and the activities he or she values. SightConnection helps people live well with vision loss throughout the Puget Sound area.
